The death is announced at Sainte Croix, Bayonne, of Mrs Mary Elizabeth PRIOLEAU, widow of Charles K. PRIOLEAU formerly of Liverpool and Charleston. Her husband and she were noted residents of this city in the early sixties, and a vivid recollection remains of her active and graceful prominence at the bazaar which was held at St George’s Hall 32 years ago, for the relief of the Southern wounded in the American Civil War.

Many in Liverpool, through the announcement of his death in Brighton recall the genial presence of the Rev Charles PARNELL, who was the predecessor of the Rev J. BELL-COX as the incumbent of St Margaret’s, Princes Rd. Mr PARNELL was a man of intellectual strength, and force of character, who never swerved from his convictions in religious and social matters.
